Vendor Services

usmap.pngTwisted Networx serves the Eastern United States as a subcontractor for a variety of vendors. We pride ourselves on an extraordinary work ethic when representing vendors to their customers and have a prodigous reputation with our clients. We have been performing subcontract work for larger firms since 2001 and we are extremely gifted at making sure things go smoothly with your customer. If we make you look great to your customer then you come back to use again and again for more work!

Serivces Offered:

Our vendor-subcontract services are somewhat streamlined to make it simpler on our prospective vendors as well as to make it simple for our billing and technical departments.  If you don't see a service listed below, please feel free to inquire about your specific need. The more difficult you find the work, the more we enjoy the challenge!

Some of our services include:

  • Network, Telecom, and Fiber-Optic Cabling.
  • Corporate DSL/Cable/VSAT installations and upgrades.
  • Hardware deployments, rollouts, installation, or upgrades.
  • Software training and data management.

Logistics:

Logistics and equipment supply seem to be the most difficult areas faced by companies seeking subcontractors. We are familiar with the pains and work hard to make the process as simple as possible. We have facilities to warehouse equipment available for vendors who have multi-site or multi-state inventory-intensive projects. If you are shipping equipment to us for isntallation we have procedures in place to serialize every piece of inventory (if not already done so) and record receipt and installation of the equipment throughout the project. If you have your own technician portal, we will update it as required. If you are lacking an equipment portal on your website, we can setup the portal on ours for you.

Our policy is to request all equipment to be delivered to us no less than 5 working days before the scheduled installation date. This allows us time to process the equipment, check for DOA materials, and handle any issues that arise before the work is due to start. This helps us be sure we arrive on-site for you with the proper equipment in working order and reflects with the customer in a positive light for you and for us. Whenever performing multiple site installations we prefer to have a 5% overage on equipment if possible to handle unforseen circumstances such as damage during shipment, exposure to elements, or just bad hardware. Having immediate or overnight access to spare units can help keep the project on-task and on-time.

Emergencies do occur and we will work with you when they do. Please understand that issues arising from inability to deliver equipment in a timely manner can result in overage charges to the vendor for increased travel required on our end.

Travel:

Large multi-site projects by nature dictate lots of time spent on the road, in hotels, or in the air. Travel and accomodations are handled differently with each customer dependent upon your needs. Some clients prefer we bill them for the hotels when needed. Others include the coverage in the hourly rate to simplify billing and job-costing. We will work with you to clearly outline the processes for travel and overnight accomodations before starting work on your project.

When required to stay overnight for projects it is our normal policy to select the most reasonable accomodations available. Normally this is between $45-$60 per night depending on local rates.  Automotive travel is handled similarly; either billed as a per-job fee dependant upon distance between sites, or as part of the hourly rate for customers who prefer to bill door-to-door. Air travel, when required, is always handled by the customer or by our staff and billed to the customer at the time tickets are purchased. There are no refunds on air-travel costs and last minute changes are billed to the customer.

Billing:

When considering Twisted Networx as your subcontractor, please be advised of our billing policies. No invoicing is ever due more than 30 days from installation. (We do not do net-45 or net-60 terms with clients). Most projects are due net-7 days, but this can be discussed with your representative during the initial screening. Prolonged jobs or projects are reported weekly (or daily depending on your need) to the vendor for billing. Jobs that require excessive amounts of hardware and installation materials need to be dicussed up-front and clearly defined so both our customer and our engineers are in agreement. Certain consumable materials are considered cost of doing business and others are billed by the box, pound, foot, etc.

References:

Since we usually represent YOU (the vendor) to your customers we prefer not to list our end-user clients on our web site. This helps maintain your integrity with your customer. If you would like to inquire about previous clients or projects or would like references from our other vendors, please give us a call. We will be happy to discuss this in person and provide you with phone numbers or email addresses of other customer representatives so you can decide for yourself if we are the team for you.
